Hot Wheels Mercedes-Benz 500 Sel

The opening doors on this one surprised me, they actually sit flush when closed instead of sticking out like cheaper die-cast models. Sitting it on my shelf next to the rest of my collection, the proportions look right for a 500 SEL. Solid weight to it too, feels like it'll hold up fine.

The doors close with that satisfying, solid click you hope for in a collector piece, and the detailing on the front grille is sharp enough to stand out on a shelf. It's got the right weight to feel like a real little car, not a flimsy toy.

The paint job on this one is seriously crisp, and the body shape captures the real 500 SEL perfectly for a die-cast. It sits nicely on the shelf next to my other display pieces, and the wheels roll smooth enough that I almost didn't want to take it out of the package.
